REAL LIFE, CALM DOGS, HAPPY OWNERS
Helping You Feel Calmer, More Confident and Able To  Enjoy Walks and Life with Your Reactive Dog

If you're here, chances are life with your dog isn't quite how you imagined it would be.

Maybe your walks are stressful, your dog lunges and barks at people or other dogs?

Perhaps you feel anxious about having visitors over or you've adopted a dog that's struggling to settle in?

Life with a fearful, anxious, reactive dog can feel frustrating, overwhelming and embarrassing.

I help you feel less overwhelmed and more relaxed so that you can feel calmer and more confident on walks and at home with your reactive dog.

Hi, I'm Dawn. I can help you feel more confident, calm and relaxed on your walks and in everyday life so that you have peace of mind and the best life possible for you and your dog.
.

Here's What You Can Expect When We Work Together

  • Individually Tailored Support because every dog, their guardian , situations and environment is different so. we work in a way that feels manageable and achievable.
  • Calm, steady, practical steps. No overwhelm, pressure or unrealistic demands.
  • Errorless Learning. We focus on setting you and your dog up for success rather than pushing or over stretching.
  • Focus on communication and connection. Understanding your dogs needs often creates more change than formal, task based training.
  • Compassion, kindness and clarity. Clear, simple support through the challenges and celebrating the wins that genuinely matter.

We recently booked Dawn for a 5 week programme to help with our 3 year old Cocker Spaniel walking better on the lead. Since having a baby we have found it increasingly harder to take Ralph and our baby out at the same time, however Dawn was able to show us several techniques to help Ralph walk much better on a lead and a few weeks on we are already seeing a huge difference.

I couldn't recommend a better, compassionate and experienced trainer. I took on a 16 month old, large breed dog whose previous training resulted in lunging, over stimulation and very little impulse control or ability to listen. In just 4 training sessions and a lot of practise , I'm amazed at the results and my better understanding of my dogs psyche and needs. So pleased I chose Dawn.

We have worked through some behavioural issues with our dog. Dawn has been a pleasure to work with, very reliable and provides lots of detailed and useful feedback both during the face to face sessions and by email between sessions. We are seeing improvements in our dogs behaviour and Dawn has provided guidance and reassurance  as to how we continue to work with our dog. We would definitely recommend working with Dawn if you are experiencing issues with your dog.

Frequently Asked Questions

Absolutely, change is always possible. How long it will take and the progress will depend on your individual dog. I have worked with hundreds of people and their dogs that have made great progress at home and on walks.

No, all of my work is force free. I use a more natural approach that aligns with positive learning experiences. Your dogs emotional well being, trust and safety comes first.

Every dog is different. Most people notice improvements fairly quickly. We focus on steady, sustainable change rather than quick fix promises so that your progress lasts.

You can choose what suits you best. I offer in person support in my local area, live one to one on line sessions if you are further afield and a self study course if you want to focus on resetting reactive walks at your own pace. All of these options work really well for reactive behaviour and many even do best on line especially if your dog is uncomfortable about having an unfamiliar person in the home.

"Our dog is much better to walk now, he is able to move on regardless of what he sees. We actually managed to pass another dog on a country lane"

"Absolutely fantastic, can't recommend Dawn enough, every dog owner would benefit from her wisdom, positive approach and excellent communication"

"Dawn is great, really calm and not just a dog person but a people person too"
